Big Announcement for Leading Change!

Big news… We have moved!

We are excited to announce that we have relocated to South Australia! We have settled into Strathalbyn, back to my roots and what a gorgeous and convenient region! - Close to the southern beaches, the wineries, Adelaide, hard-to-resist cafes, the beautiful Adelaide Hills and a gateway to the South East. We are about 45 mins from the city nestled in the quiet Highland Valley, between Strathalbyn and Wistow. We are definitely reachable from Adelaide and the ‘burbs.

Happy horses at their new home #Fleurieu #NoMidgies !

I am spending November and December preparing our facilities when I can snag my husband Glen and his tractor around his work (!)… and prepping the horses for kick off in January 2019. We are welcoming some new members to the team, watch this space where I’ll be introducing 2-3 new horses that will be a part of our teaching tribe here at Leading Change!

I value these life skills and leadership lessons from the horses so much, I genuinely believe that this style of learning should be available to as many people as possible. I would love to see the benefits from our programs create a tangible shift in the community, especially as we journey forward with local teenagers. Our Community Programs include an 8-12 week Life Skills Youth Curriculum, an 8-12 week Anti-Bullying Curriculum and a 12 week Women At Risk Series. I’ll share more about these special community programs as time goes on.

Head on over to our Youth Programs page to download our Community Flyer.

I have a huge vision for Leading Change here in South Australia. One of the goals is to develop a class room with a viewing deck over the arena and create the space for our women’s and teen’s life skills retreats. It’s in the pipeline to be collaborating with some powerful women to provide not only unique Team Building workshops for business and sporting teams, but next level corporate leadership development as well.

Part of the property includes a hill with a stunning view that takes in the #Coorong, #LanghorneCreek and #LakeAlexandrina, and I plan on putting a walkable labyrinth on top of the hill, the view and energy up there is amazing, and will be incorporated into our Authentic You workshops for women.

Aside from the community programs, we offer half or one day workshops that can be tailored to you or your group. Of particular interest to myself, is our up and coming “Thrive Through Transition” workshops for children experiencing their parents going through divorce or separation. To be able to support children in building resilience and develop a range of skills to help them cope and transition in an empowered way, is something that is dear to my heart.

Another interest point is providing the space and activities for kids to unplug from technology and re-connect back to themselves, the people around them and nature, all the while learning essential life skills that will ignite a new awareness and help them deal with challenges in life. We have a seven year old ourselves and have seen first hand how quickly kids can get hooked onto technology. Encouraging a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset is part of the classroom activities we will be working on in the kids/teens programs, and nurturing their innate desire to be outside with animals is a powerful experience for many teens.

I am extremely passionate about women’s empowerment and being a part of women's journeys toward reaching their potential, regardless of their previous experiences in life. I love supporting women who are ready to dare to dream again and who are building the confidence to lead some soulful change in their lives toward living more aligned with their values and what brings meaning to them.

So many things to look forward to, I feel honoured to be back in a thriving, open and progressive community and genuinely look forward to meeting many more amazing people on this journey.
